This Summer I got the chance to intern with the lovely folks at Kybolt for their upcoming game Causeway!
Since I already did some fan work for League of Legends, I was super hyped to actually work on a MOBA style game with a different art direction. We got to jump into the project at an early stage art direction-wise and had the interesting task of setting an art style for the project. We got to tackle two characters in the limited time we had. I gladly would have done more, including in-game mockups etc. but for now a general art style, promo material for fundraising purposes and material for future interns to work with were more important.

The main theme of Causeway is leadership. A lot of MOBAs have a huge issue with toxic communities, so Causeway wants to help people pursue a healthy style of leadership that fits them and makes the most out the team. Every character in the game is a leader in their own right - that can take a bunch of different shapes and forms! Scavenger might not look like a typical leader but she's a strong mother-like figure for the group of people she cares for and treats like family.
