Skin and Bones - Creature Designs
Exercise I did based on an assignment from Marc Taro Holmes "Designing Creatures and Characters".
Task was to pick an animal skeleton existing in real-life and designing a bunch of creatures with the same skeletal structure on top of it.
Some are from imagination, some are mash-ups of existing animals.
A peace-loving, blind giant living in underground tunnels.
Some alien kind of creature. Perhaps it would use its tentacles to hunt in shallow waters.
Referenced a red panda for this one.
Living in rocky mountainous regions where it can fly freely.
Referenced bats and hyenas.
A lone predator stalking its prey in long savannah nights.
A family-dependent mountain creature. Perhaps it could be domesticated by humans?
An avid climber roaming in jungles, where it can hide in leaf canopies.
Base skeleton of a cat used for every sketch.
